KERALA HINDU TEMPLE HIDDEN TREASURES UNEARTHED

The Sacred temple
The ancient Kerala kings were indeed rich. The team appointed by the Supreme Court to open the ancient chambers, of Sri Ananthapadhmanabhaswamy temple at Thiruvananthapuram ,locked for centuries, have unearthed billions of worth gold ornaments, precious stones, statues, coins, and many more.On Thursday an 18 feet long necklace weighing 10.5 kg was found. On Friday a 536 kg of 18th century gold coins and about 20 kg of the British East India Company’s gold coins were found. The security has been tightened after the findings came to light.
I had visited the temple a few years ago.It has one of the largest statues of Lord Vishnu ,happily reclining on the holy serpent ,Anantha. With the new discoveries, this may well become the richest hindu temple in the world, surpassing Tirupathi Temple.
